KBK - Kies Beton Krebs GmbH & Co. KG // HAMBURG, GERMANY

The first Coldrock HydroSpiral to go into commercial concrete production was Krebs Beton in the German city of Hamburg. Krebs Beton had been supplying temperature controlled concrete to various tunnel projects in the region and the owner had been interested to reduce his total energy consumption. The HydroSpiral delivered on both the temperature control and on energy savings.

READY-MIX PRODUCER IN ABU DHABI, UAE

The first HydroSpiral unit in the UAE is operational with client Ready-mix Abu Dhabi “RMAD”. RMAD is a major concrete supplier in the UAE with annual high demand in temperature controlled concrete. RMAD was seeking a technology that could not only reduce their total energy consumption but also their reliance on traditional ice plants which inherently come with higher energy demands and maintenance overheads. RMAD has also being increasingly faced with very stringent temperature control requirements from their clients making production and logistics of such concrete a test for any concrete producer. The combination of aggregates cooling and ice brings these mix requirements back within operational limits of the suppliers.

PROJECT SUPPLIER IN NEOM, SAUDI ARABIA

Faced with extreme temperatures and a high specification temperature controlled concrete mix design the NEOM project offers a challenge to even the most seasoned concrete producer. Having received an order from a reputable concrete supplier who wishes to presently remain anonymous we will be supplying the first HydroSpiral units to this iconic project in October 2024. When using a combination of aggregates cooling and ice the concrete supplier plans to showcase the possibilities of the HydroSpiral and be the pioneer in introducing this technology to the KSA market.
